The rules, prices, and guarantees that govern our work together.

These terms apply to any quote, booking, or service performed by EcoClear from the effective date onwards.

1. Who we are

EcoClear ("we", "us", "our") is the trading name of EcoClear Ltd, a private limited company registered in England & Wales under company number 15701341, with registered office at 21 Prince Rd, Kings Norton, Birmingham, B30 3HB. VAT registration: 473783943. We are a licensed waste carrier registered with the UK Environment Agency under registration number CBDU551052.

2. The service

EcoClear provides domestic and commercial waste removal, house clearance, and related services within our service area. Our standard service offering includes:

Service area: Birmingham (B-postcodes) and the wider West Midlands for residential customers. National coverage available for commercial customers by separate arrangement.

What we don't collect: hazardous waste including (but not limited to) paint, chemicals, asbestos, fridges with refrigerant gas not removed, clinical waste, large amounts of construction rubble (POA only). For hazardous waste we will refer you to a licensed specialist at no charge.

3. Pricing & payment

All quoted prices are starting prices ("from £X"). The final price depends on volume, access conditions, and any additional items at the point of collection. Our team will confirm the final price face-to-face before any work begins — you can always decline at that point with no obligation.

All prices are inclusive of VAT. We do not charge call-out, fuel, or disposal fees on top of the quoted price.

Payment methods: we accept payment by card on collection (Apple Pay, Google Pay, contactless), bank transfer once the job is complete, or via SMS payment link. We do not require deposits for standard residential jobs. We do not currently accept cash.

Late payment: for commercial contracts, invoices are net 7 days from invoice date. Statutory interest applies under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Same-day collection

We offer same-day collection for B-postcode (Birmingham) addresses for bookings confirmed before 14:00 local time, subject to availability. Same-day collection is not guaranteed and may incur a £10 priority fee at the team's discretion.

8. Recordings & calls

When our team rings you back after an enquiry, we may use an automated voice assistant for the initial qualification call. You will be informed at the start of the call if asked. We record these calls for quality, training, and dispute-resolution purposes. See our Privacy Policy for retention details. By accepting our callback, you consent to call recording.

10. Disposal & recycling

We are a licensed waste carrier and dispose of all collected waste through authorised facilities. Up to 90% of items are recycled, reused, or donated to local charities. A Waste Transfer Note is issued for every collection on request. We do not fly-tip, ever.

11. SMS & marketing communications

When you submit a quote form, you consent to transactional messages from us (booking confirmations, slot updates, payment links). You may opt out of any marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to any of our SMSs, or by emailing hello@ecoclear.co.uk. We comply with UK PECR and the Telephone Preference Service.

12. Complaints

If you're unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us first:

We acknowledge complaints within 1 working day and aim to resolve within 7 working days. If you remain unhappy with our response, you may escalate to the relevant regulator (ICO for data matters, Environment Agency for waste handling).

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last reviewed" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email or SMS. By continuing to use our service after a change, you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
